Purpose

Joseph Smith Jr. once said that "Happiness is the object and design of our existence; and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it; and this path is virtue, uprightness, faithfulness, holiness, and keeping all the commandments of God. The purpose of this blog is three-fold. First, in a world and society that focuses so much on the negative I want to make sure that I am keeping a positive attitude and outlook. I believe that this world is a magnificent place and that almost all people are good people trying their best to find happiness. It would a shame to miss seeing that world because I am focusing on everyone's weaknesses and shortcomings, including my own. Secondly, I hope the messages that I share will help someone else, anyone else, from time to time, to see and feel the joy and majesty of life. Lastly, I hope to be able to explore and share my beliefs about what brings real happiness, again with the hope to help anyone who is seeking that happiness. I will share my own personal experiences with joy and happiness and the lessons I have learned. Above all, I hope to share the message that angels imparted over two-thousands years ago to a lowly group of shepherds and has been repeated in every age throughout the history of the world. "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord... And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
